What is the Bermuda triangle?

Bermuda Triangle

The Bermuda Triangle is a region in the western part of the North Atlantic Ocean where a number of ships and airplanes have disappeared under mysterious circumstances. While the term "Bermuda Triangle" was first used in the 1950s, reports of strange disappearances in the area go back much further.

Despite many theories that have been put forward to explain the losses (including human error, piracy, and natural disasters), no satisfactory explanation has been agreed upon, and the Bermuda Triangle remains one of the great unsolved mysteries of the modern world. However, most experts agree that the Bermuda Triangle is no more dangerous than any other similarly trafficked area of the ocean, and the number of disappearances in the region is not significantly higher than would be expected by chance.
